Election Day!
What a perfect day for my first blog post! Why is it a perfect day one might ask? That is an excellent question. Because today is the Canadian Election! Yay! Since this morning people have been flocking to there local polling station and voting for who they think would make the best Prime Minister of Canada.
There is apparently also quite a high number of people voting with helmets on or with there faces covered with a scarf. This all, of course, in protest of the recent ruling by the federal court allowing Zunera Ishaq to wear a niqab while taking the citizenship oath. According to The Guardian 82% of Canadians agree with the Conservative governments attempted niqab ban.
Back to me, though. Politics distracted me again apparently. That is the story of my life and also the story of my blog. Not only Canadian politics, but American as well! And any other country that I happen to be interested in. But if I have a desire to post something un-politicy, I will do that too. So you never really know. *Maniacal laughter*
Unfortunately, I am a college student with not a whole lot of time on my hands. But I will post whenever possible. Have a great day, world!
